The Brazilian Tourism Map registered this year the update of 2,477 municipalities and 335 tourist regions that have a vocation or are impacted by the travel sector in the country. The new number was updated in May of this year (17/5/2023) by the Ministry of Tourism and will guide the definition of public policies, including the allocation of resources by the federal government for the elaboration and/or revision of plans, studies, and planning to strengthen decentralized management, tourism infrastructure works, and the offer of professional qualification courses, for example. Since last year, the platform has been available year-round for the registration of new destinations.
